I’m going to pay off my 30-year mortgage within 5 years. No ifs, no buts, I’m going to do it. In fact, I already have – in my mind at least. Take a moment and imagine how the following would feel: in five years, you have completely paid off your mortgage. Your home is fully your own. No monthly mortgage payments. No more interest. More expendable cash. Can you feel how amazing and liberating that will be?

As The Five Year Mortgage starts out – April 2022 – I have no solid idea of how I am going to achieve this goal – and that is part of the excitement! I have some ideas floating about in my head: business ideas, side hustles, money-saving ideas, cryptocurrency investments, and lifestyle changes, but no concrete plan as of yet. What I do have is the ultimate desire and motivation to reach this goal. I will not fail!

This site is intended to share my tips & tricks on how I, and you, can pay off a 30-year mortgage in 5 years, but it will be more than that – it will be a place where I share my journey with you and, hopefully, you share your journey with me. I want to build up a supportive community that is focused on helping each other achieve financial freedom and more.
